Our Story

v2v
Village2Village Project has served rural Ugandan orphaned children well for seven years, growing during that time from serving nine to more than eighty children. We have also grown in depth. We began in 2003 with only $100, which bought one bag each of rice and beans, nine school uniforms and nine backpacks. With God's help and yours, we have now grown to become a staffed organization that has been a recognized non-governmental organization (NGO) by the government of Uganda since 2006. Village2Village Project is a comprehensive community based Christian ministry which partners with other caring people to provide educational, spiritual, medical, social and physical care for orphaned and vulnerable children; supporting them in their extended family environment. We have an HIV support program, called Hope Ministry; a family support program (working with animals and agriculture); and a tutoring program as well as children's programs for our Primary and

Secondary school aged kids. We have provided pastoral training and conferences, a women's caregiver's conference, Vacation Bible School events, flood relief and emergency medical care to the surrounding community. We also care for several children with significant special needs including post polio syndrome, Sickle Cell Disease, severe scoliosis, multiple organ differences and HIV/AIDS.

"How is it that we routinely accept a level of suffering and hopelessness in Africa that we would never accept in any other part of the world?
" (James Morris, Executive Director, World Food Program)
